Headin’ West.

How many chapters are in a lifetime? The phrase always makes me laugh yet, in a few short weeks; I’ll be once again turning over a page in this life and beginning a new chapter. I am so very extremely excited yet sad; bittersweet is the perfect word to describe it.

In Minneapolis I have almost everything I want. I have a job I am obsessed with and an affordable apartment in one of the most diverse cities in the country. I have friends that I adore and a family that is close. Yet, here I am, packing up my belongings and moving across the country.

Am I crazy? Perhaps.

I am a firm believer that if we aren’t shaking up our core and our lives every once in awhile we aren’t truly growing as humans. So, here I go, leaving behind my beloved students and family and walking away from a comfortable life in Minneapolis. If I don’t do it now, I never will. And I never want to live a life of regrets. I don’t believe humans were meant to be stationary but rather meant for a life of adventure. Whatever adventure that may be- one that should find you happiness. With each new journey lies the chance to meet more people, learn from them and grow from them. Hopefully, you’ll leave a positive impact on them and leave them better than you find them.

I’m ready for a change. I’m ready to see new things, meet new people, climb new mountains and see more life. I’m ready for Seattle.
